Digital Training Aid

Digital Training Aid

Overview

Mabey Bridge is now proud to have developed a Digital Training Aid to support training on our Logistic Support Bridge.

Used on a tablet or laptop, this superb system uses brilliant graphics and animations to bring Mabey Bridge's Logistic Support Bridge™ (LSB™) training manual to life. It enables the military engineer to visualise all aspects of site reconnaissance, bridge design, bridge build, ramp design, pier construction, pontoon operations, bridge de-launch and system care and maintenance using just a touch screen. Revolutionising the ability of the soldier to quickly familiarise themselves with the LSB™, it is a highly cost-effective way of training troops on the LSB™ with the minimum of equipment.

Mabey Bridge’s LSB™ is the lighter, stronger, modern successor to the original Bailey Bridge developed during World War II. It combines the original benefits of the Bailey Bridge – rapid erection, simple to build, robust modular design and fully interchangeable standard components – with more modern materials, steel decking, integral grillages and a fully adjustable ramp system. The ground beam and grillage system, unique to the LSB™, enables construction on greenfield sites with no special preparation required. Widely used by NATO nations, the LSB™ is used extensively in military and disaster relief applications and is supplied with a comprehensive training and support package, delivered by a team of ex-military instructors. The addition of the Digital Training Aid to the Training Module enables military personnel to easily access key installation information in the field and helps facilitate training anytime anywhere.

As part of the LSB™ Training Module, Mabey Bridge also offers the opportunity to engage with the LSB™ in Virtual and Augmented Reality to help customers bring their solutions to life in the most imaginative and technically beneficial manner possible.
