New product design brings customised graphics, logos and colour to the world's most popular modular bridge

Leading bridge and engineering services specialist Mabey today launches a new product to put affordable design into the heart of functional bridging. The Mabey SmartEdge™ System offers customers an unparalleled level of customisation to modular steel bridges and provides a low-cost way to add localised and bespoke graphics, logos and colours to any new or existing Mabey Compact 200™ (C200™) – the world’s most widely used modular steel bridge.

The SmartEdge System is a galvanised steel panel that can be tailored to a customer’s specific needs. Offering a wide degree of customisation, the modular accessory attaches to the bridge deck at either side of the road section and clads the trusses.

The first SmartEdge System was fitted in Digarolla, Sri Lanka, with Mabey’s experienced team of CAD technicians designing and laser-cutting bespoke SmartEdge panels. Some 390 metres of the panels were installed in just 3 days.

The SmartEdge System is compatible with current Compact 200™ Bridge Systems, and can also be detailed for use with Mabey Universal™ Bridge Systems.
