Hosting the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire at Lydney

We were delighted to welcome Gloucestershire’s new High Sheriff, Charles Berkeley, to our Bridge Park in Lydney recently, as part of his first official tour of the Forest of Dean. Mabey was the first port of call for the High Sheriff and he then went on to visit other businesses in the region.

Chief Executive Officer Michael Treacy welcomed the High Sheriff and gave him an overview of our global reach, together with a briefing on the building of the new swing bridge at Lydney harbour and our help on the restoration of St Mary’s Footbridge over the Dean Forest Railway line.

Michael Treacy said: “We were very honoured to host the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, Charles Berkeley, at our factory in Lydney this week. Mabey exports all over the world, but our products are all engineered locally, so we were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our Bridge Park and to profile some of the interesting projects we are working on."

We wish the High Sheriff all the very best in his new role!
