Mabey Bridge’s Nick Iannetta participates in New Civil Engineer’s Bridge Design and Management conference

Nick Iannetta, Head of Engineering at Mabey Bridge, an Acrow Group company specialising in modular steel bridging, took part in the recent New Civil Engineer Bridge Design and Management conference in London on June 28, 2023. The event convened industry leaders from across the supply chain to discuss asset management, materials innovation and sustainable design and construction. Mabey Bridge was a silver sponsor of the event.

Iannetta’s presentation, titled “Climate-resilient bridge infrastructure for a changing climate,” examined the role of modular steel bridging in delivering sustainable projects more quickly, safely and efficiently than traditional bridging solutions. Drawing on recent examples, Iannetta discussed environmental challenges faced by engineers when specifying a bridge, and how Accelerated Bridge Construction, using high-quality, cost-effective modular steel structures, can help minimize project risk and maximize project efficiency.
